About Ellen Besso

Ellen Besso is a Life Coach, Group Facilitator and Writer who's work embodies her core belief of spirituality as part of everyday life. Using a body, mind and spirit approach Ellen inspires MidLife Women as they navigate their midlife maze. With 25 years' experience as a coach, counsellor and social worker and as a midlife maze navigator herself, Ellen is uniquely qualified to guide and support women.

Ellen has been trained as a North Star Coach by Dr. Martha Beck, author of Finding Your Own North Star and monthly contributor to O, The Oprah Magazine. During her midlife journey Ellen was mentored and supported by Maryland-based Judith Duerk, MA, author of A Circle of Stones: Woman's Journey to Herself. Ellen also trained as a Trager practitioner at The Trager Institute.

Through her company, Ellen Besso Coaching & Counselling, midlife women can move forward. Using the MidLife Maze Program that she designed, Ellen guides women as they navigate through their challenges. Ellen offers inspirational personal coaching plus workshops and retreats that support women as they rediscover themselves.

Last fall Ellen took her first trip to India. You can read about her journey in her MidLife Maze blog. She plans to return there in 2009 to do volunteer work, to reconnect with friends and travel to neighbouring countries. Ellen lives with her partner, Don on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, a place she calls her spiritual home.
